Tuesday AM Hand-Building with Joey
New! For winter, Joey takes students on a rough & rugged hand-building journey. We will explore pinch potting, coiling and kurinuki to create organic forms and rough natural textures. Kurinuki translates in Japanese ‘to hollow’ and is a traditional technique to make pottery from carving away from a single block of clay. Glazing & finishing strategies are offered on week #6 and throughout.
Tuesdays, 10am – 1pm, Jan 10 to Feb 14
Enjoy one scheduled 3-hour class per week, choose from a variety of clays (sold separately), 40 gorgeous food-safe glazes, and consistent firings in our Bailey gas kilns.
