Sun AM Crystalline Glazes with Paige

Crystalline glazes are beautiful and challenging. Let’s focus on elegant forms to showcase crystalline glazes in this workshop-style class! Instructor, Paige Reimer, demonstrates several kinds of vases, plate, mug, and possibly a lidded jar. Students learn shaping skills and gain experience with narrow-neck forms. We also learn how to make glaze-catchers for individual pieces. In weeks 4-6, you’ll apply glazes and get pieces ready for a special crystalline glaze firing. We also learn how to separate pieces from their catch-basins and finish the bottoms.
Sundays, 10am-1pm, Nov 1 to Dec 13
Enjoy one scheduled 3-hour class per week, open studio time, choice of clays sold separately, gorgeous food-safe glazes, and consistent firings in our kilns. No classes are held the weekend of Thanksgiving; this class includes 6 lessons spread over 7 weeks.
Ticket price includes fee for glaze materials as well as special firings.
