Gain LOTS of confidence with glazing in this boot-camp designed for anyone new to glazing or wanting a more solid foundation with the Higher Fire glaze palette! 

Join Keith Ren for discussion and demonstration of application techniques — best practices covering the how-why-when of dipping, pouring, spraying, brushing, squeeze bulbs, and more! We also discuss troubleshooting and strategizing, with glazing lessons in 5 out of 6 weeks of this class! We will make pieces on the first week and emphasize efficient production of multiples. After that, it’s glaze, glaze, glaze!  

• Single color basics; ideal thickness for best color from each glaze
• Combine two colors skillfully; accent glazes & application methods
• Shino & copper red/purple fundamentals, layering, order of application
• Spraying glazes, subtle effects and smooth transitions
• Glazing for textured surfaces
• Stains & Underglazes

Saturdays, 10am – 1pm, Sept 12 to Oct 17

Enjoy one scheduled 3-hour class per week, open studio time, a variety of clays (sold separately), 40+ gorgeous food-safe glazes, and consistent firings in our Bailey gas kilns.
