Kevin Liu hosts a mini‐workshop on RAKU! Participants learn to prepare, glaze & fire their pieces in a Raku kiln. Explore multiple colors and surfaces, achievable with Higher Fire’s selection of Raku glazes including new colors developed by Kevin. Bring up to 2 pieces (already bisqued), for a total of ½ cubic feet kiln space;  vases not larger than 5-6” diameter, height up to 12” work best.  Get two pulls from the hot kiln!  Price includes all instruction, firing, gloves, tongs, glazes and equipment use.

Date: Jun 13, 2021, 10am-2pm. Max 8 people. Extra pieces, or oversized items, may get fired for an additional cost ($40/ft‐‐ time & space permitting).  Class starts at 10am! If you have specific detailed work to glaze, please arrange to come early to start glazing so we may load kiln by 10:30am.  To avoid problems with cracking, we recommend bringing bisqued pots made from any stoneware with grog — Sculpture/Raku, Orion Stout, BMIX+Grog, etc.
