Oval Casserole Mini Workshop
Skill: Adv-Beginner to Intermediate
Join Maya Rao @maya.clayware for a hands-on workshop on how to make a wheel-thrown oval casserole. This versatile, cornerless serving dish is perfect for oven-to-table dining, layered casseroles, fruit crisps, veggie side dishes, and more.
Maya shares her pottery wheel expertise to help you make one of your own! Let’s also add handles and simple surface decor to our serving dishes.
Tuition includes studio clay for each participant to make 1 or 2 oval casseroles.
Students are encouraged to bring a recipe to share with fellow participants — a mini recipe exchange while we create our mini casseroles!
Wednesday, Aug 19, 6pm-9pm at JTown Clay 520 N 7th St.
Tuition $50 (studio members), $75 (non-member)
Each student gets their own wheel. Students must be able to center 2-4 lbs of clay.
Non-members should be prepared to take greenware home; bring a bat or wareboard for easy transport.
