For students with 3-6 months experience… Join Anthony Rollins for an exciting 6-week class exploring alternative firings — saggar, raku, horsehair, and more! Participants will fire their own pieces in aluminum foil saggars, exploring the various colors achievable with ferric chloride, sugar, sawdust, copper wire, steel wool, and epsom salts. Learn how to burnish your work while making traditional vases & jars on the pottery wheel. Anthony will demonstrate throwing larger forms, shaping, and other finishing techniques including how to preserve and enhance the surface of low-fired pieces with sealant.
